Explaining my Twitter Strategy

Twitter is a great place to be if you’re a blogger in 2019. There are absolutely loads of us in the community so it is easy to find others to discuss ideas and opinions with. It isn’t always easy though when it comes to bringing in new viewership to your blog and gaining new followers on Twitter. In this blog post, I will discuss how I manage to enjoy myself on Twitter as well as discussing how I have made Twitter my main source of blogging traffic. I’d love to know what you think of Twitter and how you approach growth on the site. Let’s get right into the blog post.

Enjoyment and engagement go hand in hand on Twitter. It’s so easy to engage especially if you even have one big interest in your life because it’s so easy to find other people who like what you like. It is also very important to engage if you want to grow on Twitter.

I’ve found that my numbers have grown most when I’ve not gone looking for new people to follow and instead I’ve engaged with the people who currently follow me. I’ve always believed that with Twitter you actually get what you put in, therefore, I aim to engage as much as I can when I have the free time.

Another thing I’ve learned with Twitter is that constantly link posting about your blog just isn’t a very good look. It comes across super spammy and it puts people off engaging with you or even following you in the beginning.

My way around it is to at least post 2 or 3 tweets to create engagement for every time I promote my blog through posting the link. I have found that this has worked fairly well because I’m inviting others to engage with me and share their thoughts but also promoting my blog enough to draw attention to it.
